My Photography - Myrtle Beach Part 3

This is another favorite from the beach trip. I didn't do any manipulation to this photo instead I just did my basic editing to it except I had to do a lot of cloning. Cloning is a skill that I have worked hard on learning and trying to get right since I really got into editing two years ago. I couldn't remember how to do it for the longest time once I started but now I feel very confident in my cloning skills. In the original photo, there were some people in the background in the water and all I had to do was spot heal them out since all you saw were their heads. There was also some big oil looking equipment in the back ground but it wasn't for oil it was for pumping sand up so they could use it to help with the sand dunes. Or at least that is what we were told so no telling what they are actually doing. I also spot healed the one of the left since it was a small part in the photo that I couldn't crop out or didn't want to crop out. The whole one in the picture I spot healed until it got closer to the water and then started cloning it so I wouldn't mess the photo up. The part I am most proud of is that right beside the little boy there was a man standing next to him. It wasn't his dad because this guy looked like he was only a little bit older than me & he completely ignored the child & went to hang out with a group of people a little farther down. I didn't want him in the photo so I started cloning him out. I am lucky that the majority of him had the ocean behind him. That made it easier since sometimes cloning can look weird and make the image look weird but since it is just water it made it look like waves. Since waves can look like anything it didn't matter if it looked kind of funny it still looked natural. If y'all are interested I might post the original photo in the comments so you can see the difference. I was honestly just happy that I was able to catch this little boy in this pose and wasn't too late.

Action shots when the subject is not aware he is being photographed and not posing are always the best

Yes, they are. Whenever I take photos of people I try my best to get them to laugh and look relaxed and natural.

Yes, he does. Tons of kids have them, especially at the beach.
