Since Friday the winds have picked up here on the islands. Strong winds have knocked people down. No joke this happened to me. Friday, Saturday and Sunday strong winds hit the islands. I was working in the organic garden and was blasted by major dust storms, rising up from the ground. This wasn’t the only problems that I experienced on these days. Sunday was the worst. My rake had a mind of its own. It refused to stay on the ground. When I tried to rake up the rocks and push them in the river the wind blew my rake forward. Sad to report not a single rock made it back in the river this day. The winds picked me up and wanted to blow me away. I was forced to take the rocks for the river and put them in my pockets to weigh me down. This made walking around the garden rather hard. I was towing in my pockets two tons of rocks. Finally, exhausted from towing around rocks, digging dirt out of my eyes, and wind burned skin I decided to go home. As I was making my way down the river bank to the river, I was suddenly pulled forward. I tumbled down the river bank and landed in the eel pool at the bottom of the river bed. I had forgotten to take the rocks out of my pockets and they seemed to weigh me down and pull me forward. Lucky for me the eels that live in this pool had decided to leave for a few minutes and take a swim. Soggy and wet, I stood up and started dumping rocks out of my pockets. I finally made it across the river to the other side. On my way up the wind decided to blow the sand holding the rocks and I slid back down to the river bed. I finally made it up the other side and thought I was safe in my car. I drove down the hill to my home only to find the wind was pushing my car around on the road. Finally, I made it home and parked my car. I thought all this had ended on Monday, but it just got worse. Now the winds blew in a tropical depression with freezing rains that chilled your bones. Our little piece of the world received freeze warnings for the first time. Everyone was warned that record breaking temperatures would hit our islands tonight. Today I sit here wrapped in all the covers I can find in the house. I am wearing 3 sweet shirts and long pants. My feet feel like ice cubes and my hands have ice forming on them as I type this post. Oh, how I long for the warm sun to come back to our islands again. I miss my shorts and tank tops and being able to go outside. Today I am home working because it’s a rainy day on the islands. How’s the weather in your part of the world today? Photo taken on the beach by my house in Tahiti.

Yes, this was to make you laugh. Sitting here on a rainy day and working on a computer for a client. I just needed something to keep me entertained so I thought I would be funny and write this up.

@celticeagle Thanks, I hope you are feeling a little better today. I hate it when I can't breath because of smoke. This only happened once to be, but it was awful. I think you said it is a yearly event and happens often. I am so sorry to hear that.

Wow, and I was complaining because it's going to go over 38C for the first time this year in Tokyo!

It is a rainy day here on the islands and I just needed something to distract me when I was working on a computer the client messed up for the third time. This was a way of making fun of things around here. Glad you liked it.
