Have you eaten hot food and burnt your tongue?

To burn one's tongue because of hot food is quite common but have you watched your pets? Both Preiti and this cat that does not meow will look at the food and NOT FEEL IT to find out if the food is cool enough to eat it. They will get back after a while. Smart I say If only we human beings had that wisdom

Nice photo! Smooch doesn't like cold food straight out of the fridge and will back off, coming back later when it has become room temperature.

I did that just awhile ago. My cousin cooked a Lumpia - fried spring rolls and I didn't know it fresh from the pan. That means it's hot. So I got one bite and it burned my tongue. It's painful now.

I burned mine a little just yesterday, testing the soup for my 98 year old friend, so he wouldn't burn his. I put ice on it right away. That usually works.

Burning tongue is not good at all. I think humans may burn their tongue as they are in a hurry. Animals are wise enough.

I think it is cool to see dogs and cats watch their food if it is hot.
