Last Day of Driver's School

I just dropped off my grandson for his last day of “behind the wheel” driver’s training. I will pick him up in about an hour. Since his parents are out of town, I will be signing for him to get his paper license today, assuming that he passes everything. My son, his father (and my son’s wife) went out of town this week-end, so that my son could attend the PGA Golf Tournament in Charlotte, NC with my oldest son, who lives in North Carolina. They had purchased the tickets a few months ago, not realizing that this would be the very week-end that my grandson would be taking Driver’s Ed or that he would be going to Orientation at the Community College on Friday. So, I was left with that to do, but we handled it just fine. Many times, I am asked to take care of things for my grandson and I don’t mind it at all. My son and his wife do a LOT of things for me, too. So, we are able to help each other when needed. Almost every year, for the past several years, I have taken my grandson to Orientation for school because that same week-end is the week-end that my sons have an annual golf tournament. Labor Day week-end. Like I said: It’s no problem for me. I’m glad to be able to do it.
