The Air Conditioner Should Be Fixed Tomorrow

I haven't been online much over the past week, since it's been so hot here (due to the air conditioner being down) that our computers have been overheating. So I've been leaving them turned off and just hanging out with my boyfriend, binge-watching Netflix in the evening. Which has been nice. I miss spending a lot of time together, since he always spends so much of his free time playing his video game.
The A/C repair people called earlier and they will be by tomorrow afternoon to (hopefully) fix the A/C. I will be glad to have a working A/C again but am sad knowing that my boyfriend will be going back to his game and ignoring me again. My anxiety has been so much better over the last few days -- no panic attacks and no freaking out that every little thing is going to kill me. I'm not sure why that is -- maybe just from having the reassurance of having him nearby and also being distracted with actual human interaction. I'm sure my isolation and loneliness contributes to my panic disorder and depression. I worry that the panic attacks will start up again once we go back to our regular routines. (Not that I have any control over those or am "acting out" for attention -- my boyfriend doesn't even know when I'm panicking, as I keep what I'm going through to myself...unless I get to the point where I need to go to the ER.)
One big difference I've noticed is that I've been happier staying away from social media. This evening I finally got back on my laptop (it's cooled down a bit and my laptop is running normally again) and after a short while of being on Facebook, I felt my blood starting to boil again. My conclusion is social media makes me hate people. Or maybe I already dislike some of these people (mainly relatives, or my boyfriend's relatives,) and social media forces me to be exposed to them more than I would be if it didn't exist. I prefer living in my own little bubble and not staying up-to-date with the news and hearing what everyone has to say about it. I think I might just try to stay away from Facebook. It's not worth the stress, and I liked not having to be bombarded by other people's opinions and their posts about their perfect lives (or not-so-perfect lives.) MyLot is different, if I follow people on here it's because I genuinely like reading about what they have to say or hearing about their day-to-day lives, unlike on Facebook where you feel socially obligated to stay connected to people you don't even like or else it stirs up real-life drama, as I guess it's the ultimate insult to unfriend someone or block them, especially if they're family.
Anyway, I've been trying to catch up with people on here. I should be around more often once the A/C is fixed.

Glad that your a/c is working again.
Agree with your thoughts on social media. I do my best to stay away from it. I don't even have a FB account.

@Srbageldog what I see in social media is full of negativity as well. I really can't turn a blind eye on it but I don't want to dwell on it at all.

I have considered deleting my FB account but that's how I stay in contact with some people. Maybe I will delete it from my phone so I can't go on it from there. There is just too much negativity on there.

I hope they show up tomorrow and do fix the AC for you.
Also.. it seems like it's the people you have on fb, not fb itself.. but you can unfollow people on fb to where you still have them on as a friend but don't see their posts on your newsfeed, to where you'd have to go to their page to see what they've been sharing.

I have actually done that with a ton of my FB friends...I got sick of seeing their posts so I hid them. But if I hide everyone I won't see anything in my newsfeed except stuff from pages that I like. XD Also sometimes I check in with the friends I've hidden and I don't even know why I do that, I know when I go to their page I'm just going to get pissed off. LMAO

I cut back on facebook to the point I will go a day or two without going there and when I do I do not say anything.

I rarely post anything on there anymore either. If I do it's just to share a funny picture or a recipe I think looks good.
