Rainy season, with all good things also bring mosquitoes which are there now, no matter how government takes claims of eliminating them, they are still prevailing. Their stings are irritating, I try to prevent by using coil and mosquito repellent. but they are super smart now a days I wish dengue and chicken-guinea, remain under control. last year Delhi was under grip of both these. My daughter's school has changed uniform to full sleaves and fully covered as precautionary measure.

Wise decision on the part of the school. I hope those diseases are under control. Mosquitoes are irritating no matter where you live.

Unbelievably we get no mosquitoes here in my area, which I am very grateful for. I have lived with them before though in other states.

I think there are some plants that can help mosquitoes away such as Citronella, Lemon Balm, Basil etc..

May be, but planting such plants is not permited at the place where I live. Residence welfare association maintain all the trees and gardens. I live in a flat with no private gardon. only society garden and parks are there. Yet its a very good suggestion, thank you

It is good to hear that the schools are taking precaution from mosquitoes. I have been lucky as there hasn't been many around here.

@spaceseed It is very rare that there isn't a bunch of them around. Now watch them come swarming in.

I can remember living in countries where mosquitoes were a problem and being very worried when I got a bite. I really don't envy you the problem and I hope the fever keeps away.

Mosquitoes are terrible pests. I am not looking forward to this summer because of them. I hope the full sleeves will help protect against them.

Mosquitoes can carry some really terrible diseases. It will be a bit hot for the children with full sleeves.

Mosquitoes can be real pests. In some places people can't relax on their veranda in the evening hours.
