The Republicans? Or Democrats Party?-- When we think about Racial Equality and Civil Rights, who do you think are America's real, good friends?
Most of us would answer that the Democratic Party are the ones that fought for racial equality and civil rights. I love American history and histories of the world in my primary and secondary school. I enjoyed writing essays about them in university.
So, it's just right to study to know the facts. The Democratic Party, as people these days are adamant about racial equality and civil rights.
Let's see.
They, the Democratic Party was founded in 1829 to "fight for every major civil rights initiative, against slavery, and opposing racial descrimination, " right?
Wrong?
Shall we dialogue with words? Words backed up with facts from history, shall we? When people do this, we reject violence and vile quarreling.

What is the modern democratic party doing for or against racial equality and civil rights?
Look way back into history and more or less no political party or country comes out without blood on their hands in some way.
In the UK I'd say every party says it is anti racism and pro civil rights but look back a few hundred years at what GB did in the world...we could be said to be worse than isis.

@everwonderwhy exactly...look at what we did to native tribes.
GB isn't like that now but look back at our history and we were very very nasty across one fourth of the globe...no empire in history has been bigger than the British Empire and we didn't get there by being nice.
My point is countries, parties and people can do bad things but they can change.
What matters now is what countries, parties and people do NOW.

@Mike197602 That's ideally every person or citizen should be responding and acting upon right now. Individual change of heart is doable.
