How do YOU keep friends?

I guess we all have different ways, and what works for me might not work for you, and vice versa.
My two favorite ways are honesty and sarcasm.
Although those same two things might drive some away.
But in my opinion, they likely weren't really friends anyway.
And a third option is silence.
There are times I just keep my mouth shut when I honestly want to make an honest assessment of something.
But sometimes silence speaks louder than words.
Or as I told a friend earlier today "Have a good day celebrating the anniversary of your birth...or don't...really it's your choice, I don't wanna tell you what to do..."

I've read the story and it's really true sometimes we make ourselves very busy to the extent we forget what really matters most in our lives. Thank you for sharing that to me. I know you're a good friend to your friends!

Yes, I get it. Sometimes we need to set those whom we love free. Let them choose whether they'll stay or they'll go away but the important thing is you keep those memories with your friends despite wherever they go or wherever you go.

I don't try to keep friends. If they wanna stay friends with me it's fine. If they don't, they're free to go. This is me, I don't want to change for anybody.

Staying silent sends a clear message which most people get.

When your honesty drives people away, maybe they dont really like to hear the truth, so they by choose to take a step back and fill themselves with fabricated lies. Silence... well silence means a lot. It may drive others insane, trying to figure out your thoughts and response. And sarcasm? Oh. I just love that word. Not all people could understand the complexity of words spilled in sarcasms.
