Oh dear time...

Looking at this photo brought back too many memories of when my son was born. He was about three months in this photo and that's my Uncle, dad's older brother, holding him. He came to visit just to see his handsome grandson!
I gave birth to my son at the age of 26 and I had no mother to teach me how to raise him. I learned by reading lots and lots of books. No smartphone, we had a dial up internet back then that we hardly use.
Now he's 13 and my Uncle has already passed away. Oh how time flies...

@LadyDuck Tanned. In our language I'm 'morena.' I was even darker when I was a kid because I was out playing under the sun all day! I've never been pale all my life.

I'm sure my uncle is happy where he is now.
I think my son take after my uncle's skin tone and not mine hahaha!

@toniganzon Are you more tanned or paler? I would love to be at least a little bit tanned.

@RubyHawk He did. He was very particular with his physical appearance. He didn't stress at all and he just enjoyed life. He didn't have any responsibility other than his own self. The only time he got stressed and angry was when he quarreled with his two sisters. They always fought every time they saw each other and they were petty arguments! I found them funny actually.

That's a very lovely photo. Time flies so fast but the good news is we are in control of it and how to make the most of it.
I can see that good looks run in the family Toni!

Thank you. My Uncle was once a local model of wrangler. He was very vain. Even at the age of 60 he would usually ask me if he still looked good and whether his outfit or bag suited him. He didn't want to look old. Another uncle is the same too. My father wasn't.

I am sorry to hear of your dear Uncles passing.
And also sorry to hear of your Mother as well.
What happened to your Mom if you dont mind me asking?
You did a wonderful job on raising your son..I too had raised my son without any Mother though she was around..long story.

That is so true. I have had my shares of frustrations. Especially now that he's a teenager, it's not easy at all.

@toniganzon Every parent of a teen needs mega prayers to get through those years. I think it's the hardest years between parent and child.

Beuatiful baby . . . and at 3 months he was smiling like a one-year-old . . . He must be a smart kid like her mom.

You're right.
He was so advanced at his age. His teething began shortly after this picture was taken. When I read the baby book it says babies start teething at the age of 6-8 months, but ours started too early.

This is so heart warming. Yes, time does pass by way too fast. My daughter is now 41 and it seems so long ago I held her in my arms. My granddaughter is turning 16 tomorrow. I remember how small she was and now I look at her she is all grown up.

Yep he was a cute and handsome baby. He is a very smart boy and even as a baby, he has showed how advanced he was compared to other babies his age. He amazed me!

@thelme55 Yep we all are proud of our children.
My friend and I gave birth almost at the same time, and she would often ask me about my son's development and she got worried about hers. So we checked the baby book and we discovered that her daughter was developing accordingly and nothing to worry about. It was my son who was just advanced.

i believe your son is a good boy and a loving one as well. even though you say he does not show his affection in public (like my son) i believe he is the most loving when you and he are together in your house without the prying eyes of the public.
