Why Do I Feel This Way?

I have always had issues with commitments, and I am not really sure why. My parents don't have a perfect relationship, but I bet it is a lot better than most have, so it's not them. I guess maybe it's because my independence means so much to me? Or maybe because no one felt worthy enough? I'm not sure though, and I have always wondered why I feel this way.
Anyone like me here or have you met anyone like me?

It's not the it really makes me suffer, I must admit thought that it greatly bothers me sometimes. I agree with you though that God has His reasons. John 13: 7 Jesus replied,"You do not understand what I do now, but someday you will."

I do have recent problems with commitment issues. I just do not want to get into another relationship that was detrimental to my kids and I well-being. I do not feel like being tying down and wasting my time on someone that I will not marry in the future. I like being single and having my peace of mind and not dealing with the complications that come with being in a committed relationship.

That is exactly what I mean! I don't want to waste my efforts and money on someone I can't see myself being with for the rest of my life.

After my break up with my ex-girlfriend I also felt that I am not yet ready for commitments. I want to enjoy my life as a single individual who has nothing to worry about missing dates, movies, or travel together. So for now I want to do things I want to do before I settle down.

That's what my mom said too. I hope you two are right. I can't help but think sometimes that something's wrong with me
