Tails From The Doggy Side

So happy when she has her blue racquetball. Not happy with any other type of ball. Has to be a blue racquetball. She does like green racquetballs, but lay them side by side. She will choose the blue one every time. In desperate times she will also play with a tennis ball, but not for very long. Brooklyn has been moping around for a week because we lost all her racquetballs. We bought her some other little bouncy balls and she liked them for about 10 minutes and that was it, back to being sad doggy. My brother luckily found a blue racquetball buried behind a shelf and her mood just changes. She is back to showing off her cat like agility and reflexes. Carries it with her everywhere. Only house in America that can say we get to play ball and do the dishes at the same time. Speaking of which, while doing the dishes, heard a big thump on the floor. Brooklyn had started to pull out the tools from our tool bag. I thought she was going to do some work on the house. My sister found a piece of dry dog cereal in one of the side pockets. Not sure how it ended up in there, but do not put anything past my dogs. Apparently, we played to much ball this morning and that was Brooklyn's way of saying she was hungry.

You have a cute pup. Over here, Sally dog loves to position her toys. I've found a ball in the shoe I meant to put on more than once.

Thanks, not sure if my dogs position their toys, but that is pretty funny, as she left you a gift. Once on a while I will be working online and notice Brooklyn's ball is at my feet.Did not even notice she left it there for me to play with her. Kai really loves leaving her toys for me when I sleep. Will roll over many times in the morning right on top of Kai's Kong toys.

@crossbones27 Good old Kong balls. I think its Sally's breed (Australian Cattle Dog) that makes her position her toys. She got into trouble with me last week. She placed her ball right on top of my little carton of ripe tomatoes. I'd been picking tomatoes from the garden and here comes Sally: plop! Smashed a couple of juicy cherry tomatoes cause of her need to be sure I knew where her toy was.

Sounds as if Brooklyn knows exactly what she wants in life. She is a cutie.

@crossbones27 You are probably right. It is good that Brooklyn has you wrapped around her paw.

She is a character and really smart. Much smarter than Kai. To be fair, Kai is starting to come into her own.

@crossbones27 I remember I had 3 dogs and the littlest one was the smartest.

Aren't dogs supposed to be colorblind?

Apparently not, and actually looked that up right now. I heard that also. They are not color blind, just limited in the colors they see compared to us. Kai's favorite color is purple. She plays with her purple Kong toy over every other color which is just blue at the moment because she tore the others up. Learn something new everyday.
