Hey everyone. Hope your doing well. Today has been mixed with ups and downs. My husband being home and the first part of the day was great. My husband called a few hours ago and said the tire went flat (blown, whatever-wasn't able to be fixed with fix a flat) and it will cost $100 for that. That $100 was his pay for today so that stinks. Not only that but it set him back a bit so he's working late tonight as well. My friend called me with news on her messy divorce. Her ex is trying to get full custody, he's dragging the divorce process out, having her drug tested and spreading nasty rumors about her. I just listened as she cried and I feel bad for all she's going through. (I lived with them so she knows I understand what's going on with the situation). Good thing in just a couple hours (maybe less) it will be time for bed! I hope your day has been good. =)

Sorry about the tire. I hope everything works out for your friend. Shame that divorces get so messy. I am ready for bed myself. It feels like it's been a long day.

My brother was suppose to leave but some thing went wrong with his van's alternator so he went back. It's really bad what your friend's ex husband was doing. It's just not right, Karma will go back for him.

I'm sorry about the car tire and your friend's messy divorce. It's a shame her ex is doing that to her. It sucks when people can't be civil to each other during a breakup. It sounds like he's trying to make the situation worse for her than it already is.

@Srbageldog Thank you. Yeah, he was very controlling during the marriage and now after it too. Bad situation.

Sounds like your friend's husband is a control freak. Unless she has some valid reason to be concerned that the judge will award custody of her children to him, she needs to take a breath and relax. Thank you for being there for her. If not for the comfort of my friends and family I never would have gotten through some very difficult times.

@Elusivebutterfly Exactly! He is very controlling, it's scary how bad he got with controlling her. No, he's not going to get custody of the kids but of course it's a stressful process and he's trying to make her out to be a monster when she isn't one.

I am sorry that your vehicle had a blow out. I have a slow leak in 1 of my tires, but we are babying it as we will have to invest in snow tires in another 6 weeks and then in the spring my husband has suggested a new pair of back tires. Otherwise, that little car has done me so well I cannot complain. I have never understood what your friend is going thru. So many couples, when they divorce do this and it baffles me. I understand the anger and the stages of grief that every couple that separates goes thru, but this, to drag each other's names thru the mud and possibly hurt their children, all the while lining the already thick pockets of some over-priced lawyer-no, that I do not understand.

@Juliaacv Thank you. I hope the tires last for you until you get the new ones. Well, the husband was a control freak while they were married and very good at mind games. She kept thinking she was doing something wrong until others kept telling her what he was doing was not normal! He would follow her around town, he would go to her job to make sure she was there, he would get mad if she spent time with her own family, he would call out of work so he could see what she was doing at times and he would check her phone and call random people in her contacts list! Now, he's still trying to control the situation but no longer can so he's spreading nasty lies!

Sounds like a REALLY bad day for you. I hope things have improved. My youngest son is a TIRE salesman. He is a Business Development Manager for a big company. He sells to retail tire stores and businesses with fleets of cars. Needless to say, our entire family gets discounts on tires, but they are still expensive, because there is only a small mark-up on individual tires. HE has some big accounts that purchase thousands of tires every year. They get a bigger discount of course.

@LovingMyBabies My son makes sure that everyone in the family and some friends also get the discount if they want him to provide tires. My daughter and her husband just replaced tires on two of their vehicles.

I hate when things like that happen. The tire cost you in more than one way. Poor girl. I feel for her having to go through a nasty divorce. I hope you don't get any more bad news today. Try to relax and enjoy the rest of your day.
