Well, there are some road closures around town, but not surprising, there are some roads close if there is a light sprinkle.
As I said before, I'm up high, but my back yard becomes a mud pit with only a little rain, so you can imagine its a small mud pond at the moment. It is draining, but you can't see it.
Right now there's been a break in the rain and the dogs are out. Not happy, but out. Boe, who used to be an apartment dog, is more unhappy than Cleo who was obviously a yard dog before we got her.
Austin is pretty lucky, further south and east of us the rain has been heavier and more dire. I've heard there has been at least 5 deaths. I expect it will go up.
Still, the storm is headed back out into the Gulf and that isn't going to help Houston any. Looked for a bit like Houston might get spared a bit of the bad stuff, but now it has gone back to getting the worst again.

We are fine @LadyDuck - Austin has actual hills and while I'm not in the part above the fault where the real hills are, I'm still well above the nearby drainages/creeks. The main reason Houston floods is that it is low and flat. Where you see things above the water is because they did fill dirt before they built.

Good to hear it's still safe there. We had some strong winds around 4-5 but nowhere near what you've got.

@ElicBxn Oh, I hope not. There's still a lot of summer living to be done! I don't know where it went. Oh, yeah, chasing the sale of my Hamilton home...

Continue to stay safe, and hope your animals don't get cabin fever too bad.
