Doughnuts for breakfast

This morning, my hubby had went out to buy breakfast at the roadside stalls. by 6.30am in the morning, quite a number of illegal makeshift stalls are open to sell take-away breakfast for working adults and students who are in hurry to beat the traffic jam. I love the breakfast varieties which are name: Sweet cakes ( so called kuih muih - Malaysian sweet delicacies ) Curry puffs ( potato or sardine fillins ) Nasi Lemak ( Coconut milk rice with spicy paste and fried anchovies ) Doughnuts and Fritters Fried noodles ( spicy and non spicy) Rice with assorted side dishes ( nasi Ambang ) These breakfast price ranges USD$ 0.25 to $0.60 cents ( in MYR 1.00 to 2.50) which are cheap and affordable. However, you cannot expect for cleanliness and hygiene since the stalls are located by the roadside where vehicles pass by daily. Nope, they do not cover up the food. It is Malaysian way of selling food. Picture shown are the doughnuts. Do you have doughnuts for breakfast? The usual or with chocolate rice sprinkles? picture taken by peachpurple

Every time is a good time to have donuts. Not the healthiest but definitely the tastiest!

I don't have donuts for breakfast but you just gave me an idea. I love fried noodles (yakisoba in Japanese, we make them with a bit of meat, cabbage, long green onions and maybe some shredded carrots.) I will have to go home and make some for dinner and have leftovers for breakfast.

We have some great doughnut places here in the states. One of the most popular is Dunkin Doughnuts which carries so many different varieties. I don't get them often like I use to do when I worked.

@rebelann We still have a lot of Dunkin Doughnuts around here and all along the east coast. We stop at some on our travels up to New Jersey and back to Florida.
