A local fair trade food day, so I headed to the community centre to collect some bargain near sell by date food. While there I discovered that one lady from the community has died after a long battle with pneumonic illnesses. I never met her but I knew that many people who use the centre were very upset for her plight. On a lighter note, other attendees brought in lots of baby clothes for a member of the staff who has just announced her pregnancy, which was a lovely thing to do. Back home I contacted some friends who have relatives in Texas, checking their family are alright with recent severe flooding there. Some of their family have been evacuated and everyone seems to be safe. I certainly hope so. Arthur Chappell

It will save her a few bob. Oh dear some people have family members in TX..not the place to be right now sadly.

@teamfreak16 thanks, it is sad to realize there are highly loved people I never met. She was clearly very special to everyone who knew her

Texas welcomed many evacuees fleeing the wrath of hurricane Katrina some years ago. It is times like these when people pull together and realize that we need each other.
