Where to get away for my birthday?

I am gonna be turning thirty-five this December. Instead of doing a birthday celebration at a restaurant, which I do pretty much every year, I am thinking of getting away. Of course, I want to go somewhere with my hubby (not alone), so for how long the trip will be will depend on how many days he will be able to take off work. And if he will even want to take off work at all. Most likely, it will be a short trip (few days) and not a long one. I have no idea where to go or what to do. Any ideas/suggestions? I love sightseeing, visiting interesting places, hiking, entertainment, and occasional trips to a casino to play the slots... just to name a few.

Depends on your location, who you go with and how far you wish to travel.

I am from New York City and would go with my husband only. So it will be just the two of us. Definitely will have to stay in the US. Maybe even in the north east.

@lovebuglena Maybe Atlantic City for night life action or to the Poconos. Out to the seashore on Long Island.

@JohnRoberts Maybe going to AC is not a bad idea. Can play the slots, see a show, and go somewhere nearby for sightseeing.

35 is a fun age. Anyway it's funny I was just thinking how I like to do a casino trip on birthdays. Then you said it's one of the things you like, too

Maybe I will get lucky and win some money. I actually went to Las Vegas for one of my birthdays. My parents took me. But I can't remember if I was allowed to gamble yet or not because they took me to Vegas twice actually; and one of those times I wasn't twenty one yet.
