I hope the good news will be fulfilled.

After the school activity, we the part-time clinical instructors had a brief meeting with our dean. (Our dean, I, and another colleague started our work in the academe in 2004.He trained in ICU while I in Obstetric ward, and the other colleague, a senior nurse in the secondary hospital when I was the HN, at medical ward.) Our dean is an approachable man; he finished his bachelor of laws in our school and he will take the Bar Examination next year. He knows our concern. He then informed us that he and our newly appointed clinical coordinator will talk to the vice-president for academic affairs about the possible increase of our salaries, to which I remarked that our salary was stationary since 2006 yet. It is high time, because the school has strings of tuition fee increase since 2010 and still our daily salary remained the same. We thought the dean decided to bring our concern to the VPAA because maybe he learned something about labor law, since he graduated from Bachelor of laws already. I hope the good news will be fulfilled.

You mean 2010, right? In this economy today, it's rare for private schools, or companies to even increase salaries. I hope he finds a way, he's a good man I hope he keep his word.

Yes it is 2010. I re-read my discussion and saw the typo error so I rectified it then I read your comment. 2010 there were tuition fee hike but no salary increase. Poor us.

I do hope that you will receive an increase in your salary! It is way too many years without an increase and life is more expensive.
