You may very-well know of Fred Gwynne from "The Munsters" (Herman Munster) character. However.. if you have seen the following movie documentary, you may also know very-well, that Fred was not only an excellent actor, he was also an artist and an author, as well as a loving family man who saw a lot of grief in his life and who seemed to gain comfort as an artist, which allowed him to deal with the pain of so much loss. Ironically, he gave so much of himself by continually producing great things that are now a part of his legacy.
Fred Gwynne was indeed, more than 'Herman Munster'.. (of course), but, the character of Herman Munster seemed to mirror Fred's playfulness and humbleness in life. Would you not agree?

I agree more than Herman Munster, as he was on Car 54 Where Are You from 1961 to 63. He went to Harvard, an amazing college and was in the Navy. I saw him in several movies over the years including The Cotton Club and My Cousin Vinny.
