My granddaughter Carolina is going to Spain next Sunday. My daughter is happy but very sad. She is trying to help her and do good bye parties just to forget that she won´t have her baby for a year.
Carolina´s student Visa forbids her to leave the country in less than a year. So the first idea about sending a ticket to Carolina for Christmas is out of the question.
And Claudia will not talk about other ideas. I thin kthat the best is that she goes alone to be with her a week or a couple of weeks. I can stay with the small children.
Buying tickets from Chile to Spain for everyone is not possible. And the children would be very bored in Granada.
Meanwhile, on Friday we have a goodbye dinner with me and Tania and her 2 siblings. I persuaded Claudia to buy sushi and I wine and the dessert.
I´m sure this will be a wonderful opportunity for Carolina.

But probably if Claudia takes the children to those places, she won´t get to see the awesome historical places she wants to see. It is possible that if Claudia goes to Granada it will be her only trip there. There are Aquariums everywhere, even here. But there is only one Alhambra. And she she want to go at night to see flamenco

@marguicha The Alhambra is one of the most beautiful places on earth, but there children will get bored for sure.

It will be hard to watch her go knowing that you won't see her again for a year. It will pass quickly though and she will be back home again soon with so many stories to tell.

I hope Claudia goes alone to see Carolina in a few months. I´d take care of the children with no problem.

@marguicha that would be nice if she could do that. Carolina will probably get homesick and like having her there.

@Happy2BeMe Sure. In spite of all the new devises where you can "talk" to your loved one while you see her face, everyone needs a hug now and then
