Since I had the venous ablation done on my leg on Tuesday, I haven't been able to shower for 72 hours. Well that all changes soon! Only 13 more hours and I will finally be able to take off this darn ace bandage and shower again.
And boy am I glad! I have been trying to stay clean by wiping myself down with baby wipes, but they only do so much. Last night I caught a whiff of my armpits and it was not pleasant.
My head itches and my hair feels positively grody. I considered washing it in the sink earlier but I don't want to deal with getting shampoo in my eyes, so I guess I can hold out just a little bit longer.
I'm sure my boyfriend is grateful that I will finally be able to shower again too.
I don't think I smell too bad, considering, but I also know that sometimes we become immune to our own odor, so maybe he's singing a different tune.
Have you ever had to go days without showering?

I wash my hair all the time in the sink when I cannot bath or shower for some reason, I never got shampoo in my eyes. When I had two days without bathing and showering due to a problem to a leg, I leaned onto the tub and washed my upper part of the body with a natural sponge, better than the wipes.

It's been a long time since I've washed my hair in the sink. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten shampoo in my eyes but my boyfriend kept warning me against it. Oh well, in a few hours I can shower again thankfully.

Yes, it definitely is uncomfortable! But unfortunately I have to follow doctor's orders.

I don't have a plug for my drain, so I always take showers. (The maintenance guy broke the built-in plug and never fixed it.)

I could bear just two days wiithout showering in winter, of course, if all goes fine, I will showr every day in winter. But in summer, no! I would go mad if in summer...

Yes, and if course this happens to be the week we've been having a heat wave! Luckily I don't have to be outside much, but still. Blech!
