Two Warnings And My Love/Hate Relationship With Summer!

Yes, two warnings I received from friends this weekend and again this Monday morning. 1.  There are solar flares and we'll be getting extreme heat! This is true, we went from 19C temps up to 31C temps, to say we went from winter straight into summer is not an overexageration! 2. Well, 5 Lions have escaped and are on the loose. Yeah, I kid you not, and this is since Saturday and this morning a friend of mine sent me the warning again. The place I think the lions escaped from is about a 45 minute drive away from me, and I think they are on the prowl in another direction from where I am, so not too worried about that. I only hope that the place they are on the prowl around that everyone will be safe and that the lions will be found and escorted safely back home. And now as I am sitting here feeling like I am melting, I have to say I hate summer, the only saving grace it has is the thunderstorms I love, but another warning attached to the solar flares is a possibility of drought, so that is worrying. Well, here we head into another week. And with solar flares, fires, floods and more I can only wish everyone a safe and happy week and ask that you all take care. Photo is mine.

Forgive me for laughing, but 31C (87.5F) is nothing! Here in Florida, that would be considered a winter temperature! lol During our summers, we routinely see high temperatures of 36C (97F) on a daily basis, along with about 95% humidity. Oh the joys of living in paradise! haha @DianneN can attest to how hot it gets here in the summer! Right Dianne! Enough to make you melt!

@DianneN But the reason you don't stay is because it gets too hot and humid to endure, right? I don't know how I survive here every summer!

@moffittjc Right! It's awful in the summer! Non of my Florida friends leave their homes between 10 and 3 in the summer unless they must. You, Jeff, have to work! So sorry!

I was only in Florida once in August and broke out in sun poisoning. Five years ago today I was in Florida and boy, was it hot and humid! I'm only going from December to April from now on. I'd stay until May if my hubs let me. That's it!

You take care! I truly love summer and the heat. Our summer suddenly turned to Autumn like temps, although today has warmed up and is lovely. I'd be more worried about hungry roaming lions. Did they get loose from a zoo or safari park? I hope they are rounded up quickly. Keep a close eye on Miss Daisy!

Thank you dear Dianne . I prefer Spring to Summer because of mosquitoes and bugs and this really awful heat and humidity. I am happy the weather warmed up by you. They are not certain where the 5 Lions escaped from and they still have not caught them. I am keeping an eye on miss Daisy for sure.

We went from summer to "late" Autumn in one day, it's crazy, it's cold already here. Take care, lions are cute big cats, but they are dangerous.

Oh no, Anna, sorry it got so cold so quick by you, it seems that neither Autumn or Spring wanted to visit us. Thank you, I will take care, though I hope they have found them by now. I hope you're having a good day.

@bluesa You are right, it seems that the mid-season do not want to stay with us, what a shame. My day is not too bad, I wish you a good day too.

@LadyDuck , yes, we each got cheated by nature. Thank you, Anna. I am glad your day is not too bad. I will be having salads and steak for dinner, will you be making soup?

We have gone up to 39C, my friend. This was just a big jump from 19C to 31C that has us shocked.

The lions on the loose sound scary....Here there have been cases of rhinos walking through streets after being washed away by floods. We are heading into winter

I hope they have found those lions by now and got them back to safety. Oh My goodness, poor rhinos. Luckily Autumn has decided to stop by you first before winter takes over, but hopefully your winter will not be too harsh.

Yes, the heat just hit out of nowhere. Though with your cold weather I am certain you wouldn't mind it.... Thank you, but they are about a 45 minute drive away from where I am and a big worry for cattle farmers at the moment.

@YrNemo , yes, thank goodness I am in the suburbs. Shockingly they know nothing, I think the lions got away from someone who did not have a licence to keep them, because no one has claimed responsibility...but then again... who would want to claim responsibility. Everything has gone very hush hush about it.

@bluesa Ah! Farming is a hard life. Any clue why too many lions got out in one go?

There is no shortage of disasters these days. I hope they will be able to recapture the lions before anyone is hurt.

Yes, sadly that is true. Thank you, I hope so too, for the safety of human and lion alike.
