I heve never watched soap operas in my life. Maybe once, a long time ago, when the children were little. But after that, I never remembered the exact hour to turn on the TV. Now I watch the TV with my aunt, she knits, watches TV and explains the thousand chapters before to me. Do you watch soap operas? Can you remember all the characters that mean different threads in the serial? In my country most soap operas last about a year. And in your country?

I used to watch them. Now I like the night time reality shows better.

I only watch soap operas when I come here, and only for a few days so I never know how it ends.

I have watched them since I was probably 5. Because my mom and grandma watched them every day when i was growing up. And now I'm into one myself and got my mom into it few years ago.

Sometimes that happens when your mother watches it. I got married very young so I did not do the same that my mom did.

I've watched soap operas since I was twelve, when I had back surgery for Scoliosis. Over here, soap operas last a long time, until there was canceled. There are only 4 remaining soaps left on TV and a couple of soaps are also online as well.

@marguicha Yes I did. I did have to have staples removed from my back and wear a back brace during junior high. No picnic there. But it kept my mind off my pain.

No i don't watch them, never have but my mom used to love to watch them. Everybody knew not to call or disturb here when her soaps were on. Most soap operas have been on for many years.

Like you, I can never remember the name of the soap opera, or who is who in there. I did watch an odd one here and there only because I got so bored while ironing clothes.

@YrNemo I ironed when my husband was alive. But most of my married life I had a maid who did that job.
