We are indeed truly blessed. We have had our electricity here since Thursday evening. There are still many people around us in different areas that still don't have power. It's not for the lack of trying, there are people and bucket trucks all over the place. We, right now still have a full house of people who have no been lucky enough to have power. It is hectic but there is no reason why I should be comfortable and others are sweating and such when I have some room here. The damage I have seen out there is so sad. I am so lucky that we have escaped severe damage. People have lost roofs, had trees fall into their homes, and lost hundreds of dollars worth of things but at least they are alive. I will continue to try to help others as long as there is a problem out there.

@HazySue I wonder why in states where hurricane are frequent they do not put power lines underground. We have no more aerial power lines here.

@LadyDuck We have wondered the same thing. Apparently they feel it would be too costly to do it.

I am noticing that more and more people are getting their power back. It will take a while though to get the damage cleaned up.

They would do the same for me. We were lucky in that we had not suffered the damage they have.

I will always help others if I can. It's only right to share what you have in the way of power and comfort.

Susan, God will bless your kindness. Jesus said that whatever we do for "the least of these, we have done it unto Him."

There was no way I could let these people suffer in the heat when we had air conditioning.

That is a wonderful thing you are doing, I hope power is restored to all much sooner than they are saying on the news.

So do I. I know they are working hard to get to power back to everyone.

That is so nice of you to help others during this difficult time. I wish we had enough room to help as well. It is so sad what has happened.

I wish we had more room. Three people left this morning. The family will be staying a little bit long until their roof is fixed.
