The MMR vaccine is a very useful vaccine for children.

In India the Measles Mumps Rubella vaccine is given in 2 doses to children. The first dose is at an age of 9 months of the child. The other dose is around 1 and half years age. All the disease measles, mumps and rubella are formed from viruses. They lead to inflammation of glands, rashes in the skin, fever etc. So parents should get the children vaccinated at the right age.

@TiarasOceanView Yes Ocean, there is least State help regarding vaccines. Indian health departments provide free polio drops to children. But for other vaccines all are supposed to be purchased by the private persons.

Yes Ocean, in India some of the vaccines are very expensive. the ordinary people cannot get afford to have some of them. For example the Rotavirus vaccine is expensive.

I just read an article on this today. Apparently in Britain we aren't doing as much to vaccinate kids so certain diseases are making a comeback. Pretty sure it's because of a now discredited paper that showed a link between mmr vaccination and autism and other problems.

Thanks Mike, UK should insist that parents give the MMR vaccines to the children at the right age. That can prevent the danger of having the diseases.
