My best friends will come tomorrow after lunch to pick me up. We´ll have some appetizers here and then we will see what to do later, maybe eat out, maybe have dinner with one of my friends´ daughter.
I don´t have much as appetizers, but I´ll have to see what to do. I brought the best Jack Daniels for Humberto from Aruba. But he has to come to my house to drink it
. Dixie just told him that if he drank, she would drive.
I have olives and dill pickles and crackers. But not much more. Can you give me an idea?

@marguicha I once attended a small gathering. The lady impressed me very much with small homemade quiches. I asked her how quick that dish could be done, she said 'very fast!'. She used the pastries (from supermarkets) and filled it with some quiche mixture she had made. Baked the lot for 10-15min she said.

I have some veggies, like lettuce and carrots. I was thinking that I might make a small amount of lettuce canapes.

@marguicha I was going to suggest to make lettuce canapés. You can also serve carrot sticks with some kind of sauce.

Hello, @marguicha! I don't think I can help because we're from different countries. If I were you, I'll cook some deep fried mushrooms and some rice noodles with a lot of toppings. We call it "pancit" or "pansit" . We usually use shrimp, beef, pork, carrots, bell pepper, beans, cabbage, and onion, and other spices. Most of the recipes here don't use much of these ingredients for they are so expensive, but when I cook, I use everything I can buy. I also add mushrooms to make my pancit extra ordinary.
