She asked if I would come over and help her stay warm for the night

Of course, gentleman that I am, how could I say 'No'? So I went over. She's several years older than me, but it isn't her fault, she was just born first. And she's a nice woman. Anyway, the next morning I asked if she stayed warm enough. She had nothing but nice things to say about how extraordinary I was and so on and so forth. And I told her it was nothing. And if the heater stopped working again, all she had to do was open the breaker box and flip the switch off and then back on, I wouldn't need to come over and do it for her anymore.

I know you too well to fall for this. Give a woman heat and she is warm for the evening; teach her to flip breakers and she will be warm all winter.

I try to do what I can, but one day she called wanting me to light the pilots on her gas stove...it has electronic ignition on it. But like I say, she's a nice person, so I held my laughter in and explained it to her

One of these days you're really going to pull the wool over our eyes by making a discussion that ends the same way it began!

@yukimori This same lady texted me and said her sink was leaking, so I went to look. Couldn't find a leak anywhere. Turns out she was thawing chicken in a sink full of water, and I think it was just condensation on the bottom of the sink under the cabinet...but I told her to let me know if it happens again.
