Will God destroy the earth by fire or people will just be raptured on the last day

Sometimes I get confused with the different versions of the way the world will end from the religion view point.Some says it will be destroyed by fire as written in 2 peter 3:10 and other group believe that the world will end through rapture where Jesus will come to take the righteous away as quoted from John 14:1-3..Which is the right one?
Will Jesus come back or will the world be destroyed by fire?

I think you mean rapture? And why worry if you already know Jesus?

@augusta123 Physics...as the Earth's speed begins to slow down it will be drawn towards the sun
