UNEXPECTED GUEST

This morning when I opened my kitchen window I noticed what seemed to be a brown and white ball of fur resting near a tree some distance away - then it moved and I realized it was some kind of animal. I called my nephew and on closer examination what we found was a very thin little male puppy with a wounded hind leg and a cut on the ear. The poor thing looked like it hadn't eaten in days - I could see ribs through its skin. Surprisingly it seemed very happy to see us, showing appreciation when stroked with a feeble wag of its tail. We had no idea where it came from and we knew it couldn't belong to any of our neighbors - they would never starve a puppy. My nephew fed him and took care of him and he seems quite happy. have you ever had a stray turn up at your door and it seems to be saying "mom I'm home"? I took the above picture of the stray puppy.

A friend of my Nephew asked to have him. We know his family will take good care of him too.

That poor precious puppy. I'm so glad you and your nephew took good care of him. We've wound up with strays, but managed to locate their owners.

He is being well taken care of. He was probably abandoned because he looked starved.

Yes, I have had some thin and exhausted hunting dogs here show up way after the season was over. I always fed them and called animal control.

What a cute, little guy @Kandae11 . I'm so glad your nephew rescued him. It sounds like he might have been attacked by another dog. Out here I get a lot of dogs that come through my property, but I know who they belong to. Irresponsible neighbors.

Are you going to adopt it? A cat adopted us once, very unusual! We found its real family after a month and returned the cat, despite its strong protest.

We checked with the neighbors - no one seems to know anything about him. So our main concern now is to get him well again and put some meat back on his bones. Then he should be on his way to the home of my nephew's friend.

Good thing the puppy went to your place, I am an animal lover and I appreciate your kind response to the cute little puppy. Just take care and love him/her for he will give it back to you. God bless all the people who took care of their chosen animals. By the way, I have three lovable Tzi Shuh and we treated them as members of the family.

Cute little guy, good for you guys taking care of it. We did have a stray after neighbor abandoned their dog. Had to get rid of it because he was to small to protect himself against my mean German Shepherd at the time. Neighbor had the nerve to ask if we still had the dog like he wanted it back. We were like, nope, gave him away. He was was a cute little guy also. Used to come flying in jumping on my chest while sleeping.

We did check with the neighbors - even though we know they wouldn't let a puppy starve so it was hardly likely it would be theirs - this one was obviously starved. In a few days or a week he will go to the home of a friend of my Nephew.
