Mooncake frestival which is also known as Mid Autumn Festival will be held on Oct 4th. Many Chinese people are buying mooncakes from bakery shops and order homemade mooncakes. These sweet pastry aren't cheap.
The range of price is RM 15-30 per unit ( USD $ 3.60 - 7) , only the rich and businessmen could afford them. Alternatively, those people who wanted to "show off" buy mooncakes to give their clients in order to please them.
I am not looking forward to this Mooncake festival, can't afford it and too sweet for my teeth which are deteriorating. Diabetic patients should avoid eating moon cakes too. Nobody is giving me either.
Not fun, not lanterns, no mooncake.
have you tried mooncakes?

well, you could make it by yourself. I have tried to make moon cakes. Not bad. Yep, they are a little bit sweet to eat.

@peachpurple I do not remember at all, it was during a vacation in Vancouver (Canada). I looked at the cakes but I was not interested in buying one, I do not even had a look at the price. We have not those cakes here in Switzerland.

Me too. I cannot afford to buy one either, moreover I don't have any friends to celebrate with, only my parents.

too expensive these days. Used to be RM 7, now it goes up to RM13 or even more, can't believe those people could even fork out money to buy the mooncakes

indeed it is, high content of sugar and paste, if you are a diabetic, better stay away from it.
