@LadyDuck Exactly. They're going to have a pajama party next week and he's looking forward to that. He told me the Dragons and Dungeons board game is like an online game. They all help each other to beat the dragon.

@toniganzon It's a shame, they were a lot better than playing alone using a phone.

How old is he? When my son was 4 years old, we played monopoly and he was into chess. But since he got all his gadgets, iPhone, iPad, ps4, he rarely played those games. Until my Chinese friend introduced this modern board game called Dragons and Dungeons.

@toniganzon we played when he was still in elementary grades. grade 6, they had the subject about computers and they did a keyboard outline on a carton. he mastered the art of typing that is why he can type in the keyboard even without looking at the keys. when he was in grade two, i also made a board of snakes and ladders, and he enjoyed it much. the scrabble, he enjoyed it, it added more to his knowledge in English language. that is why he is into online content writing.

So true. My son had his iPhone and iPad, plus he has his PS4. So I was surprised that he chose to play board game with friends this weekend. He would just usually play his gadgets and stay all day in the room.

Yeah. My brother was into chess when we were young. My sisters and I with our parents were into scrabble. We used to play monopoly a lot. I remember those even when I was still very young maybe 4 years old. when I was in grade school, it was MAD.

It's sad. I'm fortunate my son plays basketball and board games with friends.

That is so true. I'm lucky to have met a friend who's into board games and he convinced his son to play it too. They're the ones who invited my son. I'm blessed with good friends.

Me too. I love playing board games myself but I don't have the time. It's mostly work for me nowadays.

Yeah I saw a lot of versions but I have no time to play them anymore. What the kids are playing I think are the Dragons and Dungeons. But I'm not really sure of the name.

My son is not studious at all. He's lazy. You won't see him touching any of his books at home at all. But he still excels in school. He's enthusiastic about learning though and I think he absorbs everything when he's in the classroom.

@toniganzon He may not be studious , but you said he exçels in school. It means he is innately intelligent. Besides, he likes bonding with his cousins that's why.

That's true. Our Chinese friend is so hooked into that he was able to convince the kids to play and they all loved it.

@toniganzon Wow that's cool that board games are still running.. I wish before that there are so many tournaments about board games.. hmm they're seems gone now also :(

Me too. If only I have time and have someone to play Monopoly and Scrabble with. My son told me last night that the game Dragons and Dungeons is so awesome coz it's like playing an online game lol!

@teamfreak16 Indeed. My son slept over at his godparent's house and I was told that they came home at 11pm last night. They were there, playing board games from 1pm.

So much fun right? Buying all those properties and businesses. We had a local version called Millionaire's Game.

That's true but most kids and teens these days would prefer to stay in their room and play video games and on their phones.

I don't seem to play games on my phone anymore but I remember downloading monopoly on my iPad.

@toniganzon I have a scrabble board game here but no one likes to play with me, unlike the online scrabble someone will play with you. LOl

That was fun back then. It's sad that we rarely see young ones doing that these days.

Yeah, when I was a kid, me and my family would play scrabble and a local version of Monopoly we call the Millionaires Game.

I bet it would be fun to gather everybody and play the board games again.

Me too. My son has 'sungka' in his room.

Not with Dragons and Dungeons. My friend, who's the only adult in that photo would play it alone and he would play until 2 or 3am in the morning. My son told me it's like an online game.
