Several people gave their opinions as to whether girls or boys are harder to supervise at recess. The ones who said girls are harder mostly said it is because they can be really mean to each other (and that is what I was thinking too.) I often have to deal with "She said I couldn't play!" or other cliquish things like that. Girls usually don't get physically injured during recess, but emotionally injured. Boys are just as hard for me, because when I watch boys play I always think they are going to kill either themselves or each other. They climb way up on the jungle gym and jump off onto the pile of rocks, get stuck on the zip line and come crashing down, lie on the ground under the place where kids twirl and their legs shoot out. Or they push, shove, grab, trip and wrestle. Usually, though, they are just doing it to get their energy out, not in a mean way (although we have had kids who got into fist fights.) I guess I worry too much, because most of the boys fall down and scrape their knee and get up again and run. So I guess girls are the hardest most of the time. Did you agree with me?

I am not a teacher and I have no children, but I also think that girls are the hardest.

I agree with you, girls are petty sometimes, the boys are just adventurous
