Photo above shows my candy memory foam pillow. This is what I mentioned in my previous post about rolled pillow which feels so good in the neck. It is the only pillow I now use when sleeping and it gave me good results.
I cut out about two inches from one end of our memory foam mattress so I can have that pillow. It is so costly to buy a new memory foam pillow and it is good I ordered a king size memory foam mattress,so I can cut a portion for my project pillow.
It is called memory foam because it assumes the shape of your body when you lie on it then goes back to its flat surface again once you get up or change position when sleeping. I thought it can enhance one's memory so I was attracted to order it online.
I used a scrap soft cloth for the pillowcase and for the cover then tied the ends with a cloth for it to look like a candy.
Children would love this pillow too.

@acelawrites That sounds a good sort of pillow then.

They become flat and assumes the shape of your body, then it inflates again if you removed the weight on it, unlike some foams that permanently becomes pressed or ill-shaped.

So cute! I'm thinking to get a foam mattress and pillow too, yes they're a bit costly but really worth it.

@Tina30219 I also crochet years ago, but recently I learned how to knit from Youtube. Hobbies like that eases boredom.

@acelawrites Oh ,so that's how it came to be called that. Is it expensive?

I thought it could enhance memory; but it is not . It is called memory foam because it assumes the shape of your body /head when you sleep or sit on it, then retains its former shape when you get up. It follows the contours of your body.

Thanks, just post it here when you finished making one! You can take it also when you travel or while in the vehicle for long rides.

Thanks, Patsie; yes, you can use it while sitting also to ease tension on your neck. If you have soft foam or any other filling which is comfortable, you can use it too for a candy pillow or neck pillow.

so when you like in bed, you put it under your neck, not under your head? but what if you're a side sleeper like me?

I put it under my neck, and I can sleep well also if I sleep on my side . Maybe because our mattress is a memory foam also.

I couldn't figure out if you made this yourself or you bought it from a store or something. I wonder if you still have this.

I made it; just cut a portion from our big memory foam mattress. I am still using it.

I thought of making it because of my backache/neckache due to using big pillows.

It is short because I just cut out a portion from our memory foam mattress.
