Are you a whistler? Do you like whistling? Do you like being whistled at? Do you carry a whistle? Can a whistle save your life?
Why might a person whistle?

Thanks for sharing that! I recently had a conversation with a neighbor that convinced me to get a whistle and to keep it my pocket in case I need to draw somebody's attention of people to come to my aid.

No, a whistle won't necessarily save your life or your child's life, but having one with you can come in handy in a number of emergency situations.

@JustBhem No, but I'm almost 68. I could trip or may need to get somebody's attention when they are too far. It just makes sense to have one in case I need it.

Interesting! So women don't whistle in Switzerland? I like to whistle and I usually do it when I'm alone.

Nice to see a response from a woman who likes to whistle.
I like to whistle for the pleasure of it, especially when I'm walking. It makes my walk more enjoyable. It is a fun thing to do.

@just4him So, I may lose my whistle one day. So I better whistle as much as I can while I can.

Do you live in a dangerous neighborhood? I, now, always carry one in my pocket. Haven't had a need for it yet but one never knows.

A life Guard's whistle is a warning one, I guess.
I don't really whistle
While growing up used to see roadside Romeo's whistle when pretty girls pass by...But I don't see any more whistlers now

@responsiveme Yes, the younger generation may not even know about whistling as there is so little whistling heard these days. They just send a text.

I can sort of whistle, but mine has never been that good. If I could I would probably whistle a tune, but instead usually am humming one when not listening to music/

I can whistle, but not a melody, but it could be useful in an emergency..
I remember an old Swedish movie ”Can you whistle Johanna?” There is a girl whisteling a melody, but can’t remember so much more..

Thanks for answering all the questions. Here is an interesting short video about the importance of having a whistle. I now carry a whistle in my pocket for emergencies.

I can whistle, its not something I do often. To be whistled at is very frightening
so no.
Carrying a whistle could be important if you are stranded, but not a fan, it could definitely assist in saving a life.
When I am centurion I will consider
My grand kids[ will really love it

That's what I was thinking, that I might find myself in a situation where I might need to draw attention to myself and a whistle would help.
