Living with insects and rodents...

When we moved to Brooklyn, NY from my home country of Belarus, my grandfather's brother had an apartment rented out for us. There was no furniture yet unfortunately, so we had to sleep on the floor until we bought something.
We had roaches in that apartment. I remember sleeping on the floor or sitting at the table eating and seeing roaches crawl nearby. Disgusting! And it freaked me out too. I also remember leaving for school and seeing a roach crawl out of my schoolbag on more than one occasion.
I couldn't believe that I went from having mice (living and dead) in my apartment back in Belarus to roaches here in New York. And now that I live in a house instead of an apartment I have ants. Usually only during late spring and summer but still do not like that. They freak me out. It's been better this time though. They came and then they miraculously haven't returned. Let's hope it stays that way.

I don´t like insects in my house. I don´t like animals of any kind inside my house, in fact. I´m sure there are ways to get rid of ants or roaches. I remember that when I was a child, my grandmother looked until she discovered the ant´s houses and threw akettle of boiling water at them.

In my house hard to tell where the ants are coming from.

@marguicha Thankfully they've vanished, at least for the time being. But as they are in the kitchen usually, I am not a fan of using chemical sprays there.

We get spiders too. Makes me wonder how the heck they get inside the house. I remember taking a shower once and a spider started crawling on me. Ewww!
