Over 100 people at my aunt´s birthday. Family ties.

I´m just coming home from my aunt´s 100 birthday. Everyone was there, those I knew by name, those I could only guess who they were.
I There were a lot of delicious things to eat, salty and sweet. Although there was juice and coffee, I was thirsty and would have liked more liquids.
After the tea, they had a show with powerpoint that showed pictures that began with the marriage photos of my grandmother to my grandfather.
The pictures went on showing pictures of every son or daughter and their children and grandchildren.
Then there was a giant cake. We were given each a candle so we would help her blow her candles. And to end it all, the was a huge bouquet of red roses to take one each.
I hope that some of the relatives that I don´t see often come to my life now. It is absurd that time goes by and we don´t find a moment to share with people we love.

How wonderful that you all came together to celebrate your aunt's birthday. It is a shame when time passes by without visiting family and you don't realize it. We probably all do it.
