SWEET TEMPTATION II.

My first Sweet Temptation post was last December - and with another December less that two months away, I thought of one of my favorite very tempting holiday treats - Danish butter cookies. Why do I say holiday treat? - because that is the only time I plan to indulge. Since cutting back on my sweet intake some years ago, I have been satisfied with my homemade oatmeal raisin cookies - but I still sometimes crave those butter cookies. I love the packaging - in a tin - which can be used for other purposes when empty. I love the taste - texture and I like having them with coffee or tea. I haven't tasted any for the past two years, but I'll definitely get myself a tin or two this Christmas - if they are still around. What is your sweet temptation?

A certain kind of ice cream. (I don't have it in the freezer right now!). Other than that, I am completely off biscuits and cookies and anything sweet.

I have cut back drastically on sweet things - even dark chocolate I haven't tasted in a year - but life is short and if I live to see Christmas I will definitely sample some of my favorites which I have avoided all year.

@cacay1 Whenever I feel too hungry (not often), then I wouldn't mind eat those yummy cookies. Sugar is good for our blood when we need it. (But I am too old, my body doesn't need extra sugar any more!)

Mine is chocolates! And I can't live without at least tasting them for a month! I either had to have them in ice cream or cake cookies or bread or the actual chocolate sweets or bread spread or in drinks or added as an ingredient in my main dish. I just need chocolates to function. Else it's gonna be coffee for me. But that ain't sweet.

I also like Danish butter cookies and oddly enough December seems to be the month for them. I know I got them as a gift last year. Can't believe we're speeding to another Christmas.

Yum. I would say now mine is a red velvet cake. I have made a tradition of getting one for Chris' birthday which is Christmas Day.

I do like those butter cookies and bought a tin of them last Christmas, but put them out on the refreshment table at church instead of keeping them for myself. Right now I don't have any sweet temptations, but with Christmas coming up, I'll just need to remind myself I'm on a diet and fudge is out of the question.
