Redirection Can Be Good and Evil

I've been thinking of switching where my electric recliner and my card table have been since when either me or my husband is using the recliner our feet stick into the walkway leading to the kitchen impeding the progress of anyone moving about and waking us up if and when we're napping. I put the card table on the opposite wall so that my daughter and I could play Riven on my other daughter's old computer. Although we did try to play the game several times, it didn't work very well on it.
About the same time, I moved our dining room table into the dinette so I could use it for my bookkeeping. I've since decided to move it back into the living room where it had been for several years as I'm filling it up too much with junk along with bookkeeping, but it's not helping me stay organized like I'd hoped it would. For now, though, I just wanted to redirect the recliner and the card table
I changed those two things around this morning. The image shows them in their new locations. It took me until this evening to get the two images cropped and put into a collage via an app on my smartphone. Once I got home for the day I went to mylot on my phone's browser with the intent to post this discussion.
Each time, I began to write something down I got redirected to another URL. At first it kept saying I had a virus from visiting adult sites. Funny thing is I don't visit adult sites, so I already knew it was a lie and had no intention of installing whatever it was they thought I should have. Even though I backed out of it each time, it still kept redirecting me to a related page until I finally checked the box that said not to open more dialogs. Then, it switched gears and began to offer me a large denomination wallmart or Amazon card.
It wasn't until I finally downloaded the security suite I have for my computer onto my phone that I was able to mylot in peace. As expected, the company said my phone was clean after scanning it. I typed what I wanted and when I went back to insert my image, I lost it all. On my computer browser, I can usually find lost pages, but I've no idea whether that's even possible on my phone. So, instead I went to my desktop computer to write this out again where I know I won't lose it. I will then edit it with my phone to add my image. I could download it to my computer, but will try it out this other way first.
I have the cleaning and organizing bug, so I hope to redirect my furniture completely within the next couple of weeks. I may also cut into the carpet in the dinette and see whether there's any flooring underneath that so I can remove it like the other rooms have been done.

I never had problems, but I use only my desktop computer all the time for myLot. I am very conservative, I never move furniture in the house, my husband would surely not appreciate.
He is even more conservative than I am and we had the furniture made to fit specific places.

I used to move my furniture around somewhat monthly but haven't as much in recent years since my knees have gotten worse. Plus for the fact that my couch has a leg that falls off when moved.
We don't entertain and rarely have people visit, so my arrangements don't matter as much.

@MarshaMusselman It takes two strong men to move our furniture, so I would never even try to move something.

@LadyDuck Some people's furniture here is too heavy to move, but that's mostly bedroom dressers and chests when made out of solid wood. We have a lot of lighter items where either I can move them myself or have help from one of my daughters.
If my furniture was as heavy as yours I don't think I'd be changing things around either.

I have a long way to go to get it there, but thanks for the vote of confidence.

I hate when I work so hard on something to use online and then I lose it all. It drives me crazy. I rarely use my phone or tablet for mylotting. It is too difficult to manage. I would rather stick to the desktop.

I was away from home so I thought to give it a shot. Also, shortly after getting my new phone it let me enlarge the keyboard, but for some reason recently it reverted back. When it was bigger I could swipe- write fairly easily. Now in back to the slower method if income here when away from home.

@arthurchappell I didn't realize you didn't catch my double meaning before this. I figured before, that was why you'd picked out this particular post to check out.

That is true, but I plan to swap a different table with the one currently in the living room in this image. I moved it into the dinette thinking I could use a portion of it and maybe we'd use the rest for eating as it's designed, but most of us living here aren't here at the same time for meals. We tend to eat in front of the computers or TV rather than at the table.
In the mean time my larger table near my desktop is loaded with work needing to be done. It's so much that I barely know where to begin. I look at it and move on to something else online instead. I would be forced to keep it more organized if I have the card table in here instead.

I had to think about your comment at first as I thought you were referring to the redirects that mylot has been experiencing and that you recently informed me was taking over other's smartphones as spoken about in Alex's post that you suggested to me

My furniture will be a work in progress as I'm the only one doing our business right now.
As far as the redirects on the site, I don't think it's totally fixed yet although it seems a bit better than the day I wrote about here. I still got some of it this afternoon once I returned home from doing a window job. I'm able to look at a few things with my phone, but not everything yet.
The other day, once I downloaded my security suite to my phone it seemed to be doing it's job and keeping the redirects at bay, but today some still made their way through.

@MarshaMusselman You have hit the nail squarely on the head. The code that causes the redirection could be buried in something the is pulled into myLot from outside. I don't think the admin here would knowingly bury such nasty nuggets in their core systems.

At least we won't be in the way when using that recliner.
