The Multnomah Sheriff's Office is telling the citizens of Portland Oregon that if they receive a phone call from a "Lieutenant Brown" to wire money since the caller claims that the sheriff's office has a warrant to arrest someone, it is a scam.
The Multnomah Sheriff's Office has stated that they never make phone calls about arrests, wire money or paying fines over the telephone.
The sheriff's office has told their citizens when they receive the phone call to wire money to "Lieutenant Brown", get the name of the caller, time of the phone call to the police department so the detectives can hunt down the scam caller.

Very true. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

I wouldn''t fall for that one for sure..I would not wire money if the caller said he was Jesus or the Devil even.

My relatives get phone calls from an "IRS" agent making threats and we have had to ignore that crank caller.
