Katherine Weaver is counting her blessings after her nine year old Bernese dog named Izzy escaped from her arms as she was leaving her home due to the wildfires in the Northern California area.
When Weaver and her husband Jack left her home due to the intense fires in the area on Monday, the dog fled her arms. Katherine tried to get her pet dog back but the flames were too intense to try to get her dog back.
The next day when the Weavers returned to their home that was burned down, their dog Izzy came home to greet his masters.
Izzy due to her thick coat was able to survive the tragic fire that has destroyed homes and lives in Northern California.
Someone Up There likes Izzy the dog.

She is a very lucky pooch for sure. I bet those people were so happy to find their dog.

That is amazing! So glad they got their pup back! Bernese dogs have tendencies to run to help others, that is what they were meant for. So they are super loyal and amazing that they came back!

That is true since most stories like these do not have happy endings.

That is true. Dogs are smarter than people think.
