Feeling Sick

Last night when the boyfriend and I were grocery shopping, I experienced a random sharp, shooting pain which ripped through my lower abdomen, from my bellybutton down into my groin. It felt like my bellybutton was being ripped out, for lack of a better way to explain it. This repeated once and I felt uneasy, not knowing what the heck could be causing it.
On the way home I experienced another sharp pain above my bellybutton, and then a few more times throughout the evening I experienced the pain again, though not as intense as it was in the store. Now I am feeling sick to my stomach and am feeling very uncomfortable. I'm not really in pain, but it feels like pain could start at any minute, if that makes sense.
Of course this is not good for my health anxiety. I know that sometimes pain is just pain and not indicative of anything serious being wrong. But I always freak out over every new ache or pain thinking that I'm going to die.
If this continues and/or gets worse I will probably make a trip to the ER just to makes sure everything is alright in there. I read that bellybutton pain can be a sign of appendicitis, although I don't think that's what this is. Maybe I just have indigestion.
Have you ever experienced anything like this?

I keep burping up rotten eggs and am feeling pretty gassy, which is why I think it's indigestion. The pain could be gas moving around.

@LadyDuck I will have the surgery. I just have to wait two weeks to see the specialist so I can tell him I want the surgery. If he won't do it, I'm asking for a second opinion just in case. But I think he will do it without arguing since he said we could treat it however I decided to treat it.

It is not so bad now but I am still extremely bloated and uncomfortable. I know now that it is caused by my reproductive organs being messed up and glued to my bowel. The doctor at the ER strongly urged me to have surgery to remove them.

You are just like me. Now that I am totally alone I always am so much more aware of what goes on with my body. As long as everything is fine I am fine. Hope you are alright and you feel better on your own.

@RasmaSandra Some of the symptoms have resolved, but the bloating, gas, and pain is still there. It was determined that it is caused by the hydrosalpinxes (fluid blocked fallopian tubes) that and my ovaries which are glued to my bowel. I will have to have surgery because it could become life threatening if they rupture or perforate my bowel. Now to wait two weeks to see my specialist and try to arrange surgery.

Oh my. Sounds very awful. I'm glad you went to the ER and got an answer on it. And, I'm the same with pain.

It is. And now that I know that this "non-life threatening" condition could turn life threatening, I just want this crap taken out. I have an appointment to see the specialist in two weeks.
