Of all of the crazy things that some people will do to get their fifteen minutes of fame. A suspect who allegedly stole the bronze bat of former Seattle Mariners iconic and Hall Of Fame outfielder Ken Griffey Junior has been arrested and placed in the slammer on a $10,000 bail this week by the police in Seattle Washington. The statue of Griffey is located outside Safeco Field. There are some reports that the criminal who allegedly stole the bat from the Ken Griffey Statue was drunk. The management of the Seattle Mariners will restore the baseball bat back to the statue of one of the sports heroes in Seattle history. I just wonder why the suspect would steal a baseball bat of the statue of Ken Griffey Junior who is admired by the citizens of Seattle Washington?

As Forrest Gump once said stupid is as stupid does. The meaning being intelligent people can do stupid things too. In this man's case he was just stupid. Or maybe I should, say drunk people do stupid things.

Come on what did Ken Griffey Junior do to the suspect to have his statue vandalized? Not sign his autograph?

@Deepizzaguy Who can know the rationale behind acts of stupidity? Maybe he spit at him like Keith Hernandez did to Kramer in Seinfeld Mets episode? If you haven't seen it hilarious Hey, at least they arrested the jerk and will be restoring the statue of a great HOF player. And I wish I had his autograph

Something weird in his mind that forced him to do that?

How did he get the bat in the first place? Break it off?

The suspect broke the bat and he was caught a short time later when eyewitnesses saw him.
