Pro wrestling excitement

For my sons birthday I bought two tickets to a pro wrestling show as a surprise for him. I thought he would be really excited but he wasn't. He didn't want to watch guys who weren't in the WWE. I was super excited to go though!
I couldn't get my money back so I didn't bother and hoped in making him go he would enjoy it after all.
The show was last night from 7:30-10pm. It was entertaining but the place was small and when a guys foot came through the ropes (we were in the front row) I and the boy sitting next to me almost got kicked in the face.
My son named all the moves as he was watching and would tell what WWE wrestler they were copying. They really seemed to try to alter things yet copy the famous WWE wrestlers. Similar costumes and entrance music and moves etc.
I don't know if its because we were so close or they just weren't as good of actors but it was very obvious nearly all the moves were fake and staged.
It was okay. My son was disgusted at first but by the end he agreed it was okay. I wouldn't likely pay to go watch another pro wrestling show but it was something new to do.

Sorry he wasn't excited
.
Always wanted to go to live wwe shows growing up, but never got to. First time was 5-7 years ago. Its totally not the same as watching on tv. Actually prefer watching at home.

On TV, there are different camera shots but when you're there "live" you only have the one view.

@BarBaraPrz That is true and they probably chose the best views to show on tv.

@Courtlynn These tickets were only $15 each I am sure a real WWE show would be much more costly to attend. Why do you prefer watching it at home what major differences are there?

There's a local wrestling promotion here in Manila and I have heard great things about the shows that they put up. Still haven't watched a show but planning to do so in their next one.
Glad your son enjoyed the event even though at first he wasn't too keen about it.

@shaggin yup.
They have a show this November and they have a semi-permanent location where they do the shows. They moved from different places before and the location where they have their shows now are near my office so that works for me.

I can remember going to one show with my daddy when I was little. I loved every minute of it. We were up in the nosebleed seats so I couldn't tell anything was fake or real.

That is true from far away you wouldn't be able to notice the fake punches etc. I almost got kicked in the head when the one wrestlers feet came through the ropes so that tells you how close we were. To close for comfort!
