The season has been interesting so far with some big hits and others I was surprised when they were renewed. Its sad when a network won't let a show go out when viewers are ready to say good bye. Once Upon A Time is a good example of a show that shouldn't have been renewed, but is owned by ABC and that is the network airing the show. The ratings on Friday have been bad; however, it has done well in the plus 7 (viewers that watch after it airs for the next 7 days). The Exorcist isn't doing well either.
Now one show it was a smart movie to renew multiple seasons is This Is Us huge ratings winner and the first season is available at a reduced price. I was surprised that its so affordable. I'm hoping to see more multiple season renewals in the future. Viewers don't have to hope for a renewal and the show can have a cliffhanger and we know that its going to be resolved in the future. What would you like to see renewed soon?

I watch so few series that it doesn't really matter. Most shows burn themselves out in the long haul going stale.

I agree many shows will burn out, as we aren't going to see a lot of Law and Order and Gunsmoke. Right now, Law and Order SVU might be able to stay on longer; however, with costs going up its harder for networks to renew costly shows. Good ratings will help to find the money to renew, as I would like to see SVU tie the other two. My daughter loves SVU.

@Fishmomma SVU is one of the few I watch. Supernatural is in its 13th season. Who woulda thought?

@JohnRoberts Supernatural does well on the CW; however, not sure the two stars will want to be on the show enough years to break a record. Personally, its quite a big deal on the CW and I would like to see it happen, as my husband is a big fan of Supernatural.

I love the show and certainly enjoy seeing the different periods of their lives. Watching how it affects each family member when the big and little events happen and how other things end up happening because of the affect. I loved seeing Sly Stallone on the show and how the daughter couldn't believe her brother was filming with him. I loved seeing Ron Howard, who I always think of as Opie from The Andy Griffith Show.

I know The Big Bang Theory is coming back at least through next season, but I'd like to keep it going longer than that. It's comfort TV to me. I have no earthly idea why FOX brought The Exorcist back. No one ever watched it last season.

I was surprised The Exorcist returned, as the rating were low last year. Once Upon A Time came back after reducing the show costs and the plus seven numbers are good. A lot of people don't watch television on Friday Nights, as even Blue Bloods has a good plus 7 number.
