It is once again disheartening to know that we, part-time clinical instructors, will not have duty on Thursday and Friday; it will therefore be a very long weekend for us.
The level 3 nursing students will have their examination on the said days, to cover up with the forced suspension of duty and classes last week due to the transport strike.
Ergo, the number of days that we expect to receive for our half-a-month salary is reduced from 9 to 5 days. Well, that is the disadvantage of a part-time employee.
We will be back on Monday for our duty, then Tuesday is another holiday, same with November 1st and hopefully, we will resume our duty on Thursday, November 2nd.
But I should not be disappointed because I will have my time to actively interact here with you my friends.

i asked my niece when the 2nd sem will begin. usually it's after nov 2, right? she said it's still unknown because of the asean summit. 4 days earnings is a lot.

i think that is in the capital city. i live in far north and the first semester started last August, 3rd week. the last duty day for the 1st semester will be on November 17 (grand case colloquium). maybe 2 weeks of break, then, classes and duty will start right away. we are not included in the suspension of classes for the Asean summit though.

no, i would not go to SM to window-shop, because first of all, our house has so many windows. hahaha! and secondly, the SM store is so far from where i stay

The only people that benefits holidays are the students, but most of them are forced to go to school on weekends. Yeah, it annoys people who are working because that's minus the salary.

indeed, students glee when they have no classes or duty, but then, i tell them that a day without classes may mean a day of missing the knowledge taught by their classroom instructors.
