Bitter Sweet Day

I took my youngest daughter and 2 of my grandbabies and went to visit my mom (in the nursing home ) today. We were pleasantly surprised at how well she was doing. She was moving around like she was 10 years younger. Her mind was a little sharper. She was in a great mood. It was so warming to see her this way. My daughter was shocked at how much she had improved. The excitement waned a little, though, when I got a call from my brother. He had taken our dad to the doctor. We are back to square one in getting treatment for his liver condition. I knew he wasn't doing well. I kept telling him he needed to go back to the doctor and he finally did today. After months of tests, then months of the doctors swearing they knew what was wrong and were on the right course as far as treatment, now they are saying they are not sure what is wrong and we are going to have to try a different treatment. It is so unnerving...
Well, that is my rant on that subject. If there are any prayer warriors out there, we covet the prayers.

Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.
