Let's see how my loyal group of music trivia followers do with songs with Halloween references in the title. Can you recall the names of these songs and artists? Here is a little Halloween music video to provide some focus ( not a clue, just for fun although it could be one). Some "musical notes" on the artist who wrote the video song: -Tune was the theme to the movie starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson. - Debuting at #68 on June 16, 1984, the song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on August 11, 1984, staying there for three weeks. -Ray Parker Jr was the writer and recorder of this song. Lindsey Buckingham and Huey Lewis were also approached prior to Parker Jr to write theme songs but declined. Lewis actually sued Parker over this song, because his tune sounded too similar to Huey's "I Want A New Drug". Here are the clues: Good Luck!!! 1. This single reached # 3 on Billboard Hot 100. The song was originally an instrumental, but lead guitarist Cobb, and the group's producer, Buie, added lyrics to the tune. Cobb later formed the Atlanta Rhythm Section along with fellow band member Dean Daughtry and members of a band called The Candymen. The lyrics in part mention love being kind of crazy with this kind of girl? Other lyrical references were to movies, a halloween proposal, and ghosts. There is a great sax solo in this song. 2. This "Dynamic Duo, just one of their nicknames, are an American soul and R&B pair who performed together from 1961 until 1981. The "Double Dynamite" singers hit song was revitalized by Saturday Night Live's Dan Akroyd and John Belushi on the TV show, and in a movie made in 1980. Isaac Hayes and David Porter wrote and produced the duo's biggest hits . They also greatly influenced the duo's singing style, which helped them become one of the best R&B live acts of the 60's and 70's. You may remember a famous spontaneous mention of Steve Cropper in the tune when one of the singers says "play it Steve." 3. The performer was best known for this song with its combination of 'heavy' guitar, hand-clapping, and spiritual lyrics. The tune was released by Warner Bros. Records in 1969. Although the song has a Christian theme, the singer was Jewish, and he also felt the song would sell better if he used Jesus in the lyric instead of God. In the UK, this song has reached #1 three times by three different acts. Though the artist is generally regarded as a one-hit wonder, several of his records placed prominently in the charts. Happy Recap: 1. A strange, odd kind of girl who said yes to a movie. 2. Song revitalized by Akroyd and Belushi on SNL. "Play it Steve" was left in the song's recording. 3. A Jewish singer with a Christian spirtiual sounding song. Considered a one-hit wonder. ...Use those clues folks!!!! Appreciate all who participate and you know what I say...as always, thanks for playing! Hope these songs brought back a pleasant memory for some... *Bio info from Wikipedia and songfacts.com Photo- videovortex.wordpress.com/google images

@bunnybon7 Definitely could be used for both! I used it hear for the word spirit in the title which can refer to a ghost, a popular Halloween costume. Double meaning I guess..
