Appointment With the Specialist in the Morning

United States
October 31, 2017 3:50am CST
Just a quick note before heading to bed. I have my appointment with the specialist in Berkeley later this afternoon. Unfortunately this means my entire Halloween day will be spent traveling there, seeing the specialist, and then traveling back. Last time I went I got picked up before 10:30 a.m. and didn't get back home until around 5:30 p.m. It's a long drive. One I am not looking forward to. But, this issue needs to be taken care of, and I currently have no other choice but to travel 2 1/2 hours (3 depending on traffic) away to have surgery. Which really sucks. This whole situation just sucks. Anyway, if I'm not around later, I hope you all have a happy Halloween. Maybe I will have a better one next year.

Halloween's not important to us since we don't celebrate it at all. Hope you get to celebrate yours next year.

I am very sorry, it's annoying to have to go such a long way to see the specialist, but it's very important that you go. My best wishes to you.

Thank you. I am going to be very tired when I see him though, as my insomnia has not allowed me to sleep and I have to be up in a few hours. Hopefully I won't forget anything I wanted to ask him.

@Srbageldog Take notes and bring the notes with you. It's easy to forget things when you talk to a doctor.

I am sending my prayers with you and wishing you that all goes well. There will be plenty of more Halloweens just get yourself well. Virtual hugs.

Thank you. I am trying to be positive about the surgery. It will be nice to feel well again, so if the surgery will resolve my issues, then it is worth having.

Hope everything went well! Halloween is fun and all, but not nearly as important as your health. Don't worry about Halloween, just focus on getting everything fixed in your body. Halloween will always come around each year. Get yourself healthy so you can make sure you are around to enjoy future Halloween!

Thank you. It turned out to not be such a bad Halloween considering most the day was spent on the road and in the doctor's office! I did get to see a lot of groovy Halloween decorations and drove by an elementary school's Halloween parade. So I actually got out and saw more Halloween than I normally would have! But now I get to deal with an impending surgery, which is scary to think about, so I will try not to for the moment.
