While we were staying at our son’s place in Ireland, he introduced us to a number of board games. One that we ended up buying was Ticket To Ride.
There are a number of versions of this but we have the version which uses a map of North America as its base. Like many of the board games of today, there are extensions available for the various versions. It is aimed at 2 to 5 players aged 8 and above. As it only takes from 30 to 60 minutes to play, there isn’t much chance to get bored.
Each player chooses a colour and you have a heap of cute little carriages with which to build railways between designated towns. I have really enjoyed playing this despite my reservations at first.

That is a very inexpensive way to "travel" America!

I haven't heard and played this board game before but it sounds like a game we will like. I just checked the online store here and it has a Chinese version
I shall buy one that suits us and we shall play it together before my son grows up and has less time to play it with us

That sounds like fun and a good way to avoid computers and the TV as well.
