Just now I commented to a discussion about a board game called Ticket to Ride. It is a interesting board game and it is likely I will buy it so that we can play together.
Do you have any good board games to recommend? I liked a board game called Picture It and I bought it. At that time my son didn't know more words, so we didn't play it so much. Especially it is much more interesting to play it with more people but I just have a small family.

If you want a serious board game I would suggest chess, it would help your son learn how to think objectively, form strategies and increase intelligence, learning and playing it will not stop with childhood but would be carried on throughout life

@youless - My dad was a checkers man. He and his friends would move those black and red pieces on the board all day long. My mom bought my late sister Chinese Checkers one Christmas and she, my brothers and I played that game for hours. It was an instant favorite! I don't even remember the other toys we got that Christmas.
It was a great way for us siblings to spend some quality time together. My sister kept that game with all the pieces for years. She was one of those kind of kids that didn't break their toys or lose the pieces (like me) and she kept everything even in the original box. We played Chinese checkers a lot when I was growing up. Those were good times.

Cluedo! I used to play that a lot when I was younger. Monopoly is a good one too of course.
