Broke the candle holder

Philippines
November 2, 2017 4:26am CST
I am very much thankful that the weather had subsided a little bit. Already had everything prepared until the bag I placed in a certain chair slipped causing glass holder to break. I was left with no choice but to use the candle alone. When I got there, it didn't take a while before I got the idea of using plastic cup to substitute for a holder. Unfortunately, I added some matches to it causing it inflaming more melting the plastic. But I found another cup and put it over. As for the rest of the hour I had a chat with my aunt abroad and told her I was the last one to visit. Not much people and I got home easy. What a waste as for the candle holder, I reserved it last year for this day..looks like I need to buy one again.

How's your November 1 in the cemetery? We don't use candle holders we just let the candles melt in the ground

Accidents happen for a reason. At least, you had done something useful.

Hello @Shavkat I guess you're right, otherwise I wouldn't have made this post. But loosing two candle handles was costly.

@Letranknight2015 I do agree that it costs an arm and a leg. But we can't do anything and let it go.

Sorry for that broken candle holder, but the plastic cup will also melt when heated.

Hello @acelawrites It won't if the flames were not closed enough, my only mistake was I added some matches to it.

Hala, you broke it, it could have been beautiful to use during that time. At least you have the idea of using that plastic as candle holder. You could also have use stones or any other kinds of hard things in that place.

Hello @ilocosboy I'm probably the only one who had actually improvised a candle holder with a plastic cup. I didn't find any stones over there, didn't bother leaving the place to roam around.

that sounds unfortunate, but everything went well in the end Just don't get glass candle holders anymore, they are quite dangerous when broken. There are steel ones

Hello @lady1993 I'm still going to buy one in the future but I will do my best to put it in the right place were it won't fall.

That's a shame that you broke the candle holder. Especially as you had kept it all year just for this occasion.

Hello @JudyEv yes, it was very unfortunate because I've kept it all the years in the storage. But I can buy a new one.
